THE PET AVIATOR Terms & Conditions
(Flight Nanny & Pet Travel Services)
1. Overview
The Pet Aviator (“I,” “me,” or “the service”) provides pet travel assistance, in-cabin flight nanny services, and coordination support for airline-approved pet travel.
All services are subject to airline rules, government regulations, and the pet’s eligibility as determined by the airline—not by me.
Booking any service with The Pet Aviator indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Scope of Services
The Pet Aviator may assist with:

In-cabin flight nanny services

Guidance for AVIH (checked baggage) travel where permitted
-
Support and information for manifest cargo requirements
-
Airline communication and logistics assistance
-
Pet handling before, during, and after travel
-
Real-time updates during transport
The Pet Aviator does not act as:
-
A veterinarian or medical provider
-
A certified cargo agent
-
An airline employee
-
A customs broker
-
A decision-maker regarding pet eligibility or approval
Airlines and government authorities make final determinations about all pet travel.
3. Pet Eligibility & Documentation
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your pet, including size, weight, breed, behavior, and medical needs.
Required documentation may include:

Health certificates
-
Vaccination records
-
Import/export documentation
-
Breed verification
-
Airline-specific forms
Incorrect or incomplete documentation may result in denied boarding, delays, or added expenses.
4. Airline Policies & Travel Conditions
Airline policies vary and may change at any time.
Travel options are determined entirely by the airline and may be affected by:

Breed or size restrictions
-
Weather-related embargoes
-
Aircraft type
-
Route-specific policies
-
Pet carrier requirements
-
Documentation issues
The Pet Aviator is not responsible for airline decisions, cancellations, delays, operational issues, or changes in airline policy.
I will always communicate promptly and help navigate adjustments, but the airline controls the approval and movement of all pets.
5. Pricing & Payments
All quotes are customized based on:

Travel route
-
Airline availability
-
Seasonality
-
Travel type (in-cabin, AVIH, or manifest cargo assistance)
-
Any additional logistics required
Quotes may include:

The Pet Aviator service fee
-
Flight costs
-
Airline pet fees
-
Lodging (if unavoidable due to schedule changes or layovers)
-
Ground transportation
-
Additional handling or coordination fees
Airline pricing is subject to change until booked.
Deposits may be required and may be non-refundable once work begins.
6. Cancellations & Changes
Airlines have their own rules regarding cancellations, changes, and refunds.
The Pet Aviator cannot refund airline-imposed fees or penalties.
If you cancel after coordination or travel has begun, service fees may be partially or fully non-refundable to cover time, effort, and expenses already incurred.
If travel must be adjusted due to airline decisions, weather, or pet eligibility, additional costs may apply.

7. Pet Behavior & Handling
The client acknowledges:

Air travel always carries inherent risks
-
Pets may experience stress during travel
-
Pets may react unpredictably to travel, noise, crowds, or handling
-
Stress behaviors (panting, drooling, crying, hiding, shaking) are common
-
The flight nanny may need to adjust handling for safety
-
Airline staff may handle pets or carriers at various points
-
Weather, turbulence, and delays are outside my control
-
In emergencies or unexpected behavior, the flight nanny may seek veterinary care or take necessary steps at the owner’s expense
-
Airlines, not The Pet Aviator, determine pet placement, timing and handling in their custody.

​The Pet Aviator is not liable for injury, illness, loss, delays, or events arising from airline operations or any situation outside direct personal handling.
The client is responsible for:

Any damage caused by the pet (airport, aircraft, hotel, transportation, equipment)

Veterinary costs for illness or injury incurred during travel
The Pet Aviator is not liable for:
-
Behavioral episodes
-
Injuries caused by the pet to itself or others
-
Loss or damage caused by airline personnel
8. Owner Responsibilities
You agree to:

Provide complete and truthful information
-
Ensure your pet is healthy and fit for air travel

Supply necessary documentation, medication, and instructions
-
Provide an airline-approved carrier unless otherwise agreed upon
-
Be reachable throughout travel
-
Cover any costs resulting from inaccurate information or unexpected airline requirements
9. Communication
I provide updates throughout travel whenever possible, including:

Pre-departure
-
After boarding
-
Layovers
-
Arrival
-
Any unexpected changes or issues
Updates may be delivered via text, phone call, WhatsApp, or email.
10. Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Pet Aviator is not liable for:

Airline actions, decisions or operational issues
-
Flight delays, cancellations, or rerouting
-
Government or customs actions
-
Weather conditions, turbulence, or aircraft conditions
-
Acts of God or events outside direct personal control
-
Airline or airport staff handling
-
Illness, stress reactions, or emergencies occurring during airline custody or travel
-
Injury or death occurring while the pet is in airline custody
-
Loss, damage, or delays cause by the airline
Liability is limited solely to periods of direct personal handling by The Pet Aviator.​​

11. Governing Law, Venue & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
Any dispute, claim, or legal action arising out of or related to services provided by The Pet Aviator must be filed exclusively in the state courts of Lorain County, Ohio.
The client consents to personal jurisdiction in Lorain County, Ohio and waives any objection to venue or inconvenience of forum.

By booking with The Pet Aviator, you acknowledge reading, understanding, and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
