Hello

I’m Jess — the founder of The Pet Aviator, full-time dog devotee, seasoned transporter, and someone who has always believed that pets deserve the same comfort, safety, and dignity we expect when we travel.

The short version?
I love dogs and I love to travel.
So I built a service that lets me combine both — while helping families at the same time.

My Story

For years, I’ve run one of the largest and longest-standing English & French bulldog rescues in the country, coordinating countless intakes, medical cases, behavioral needs, cross-country transports, and forever-home placements. Working with bulldogs — brachycephalic, stubborn, sensitive, medically complicated, and endlessly lovable — has taught me how to manage every nuance of safe handling and travel.

My rescue work has taken me far beyond local transports.
I’ve coordinated and assisted with international missions, including helping transport rescued dogs from China to the United States, navigating multi-airline itineraries, tight medical clearances, customs protocols, and the unique challenges that come with flying vulnerable animals across the world. Those experiences shaped my ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused no matter the distance or the complexity.

Alongside rescue, I own a full-service travel agency, Purposeful Travel Co — which means navigating airlines, policies, logistics, and problem-solving is literally what I do every day. The Pet Aviator grew naturally from the two worlds colliding:

expert-level dog care + professional travel planning.

Today, I provide personalized, hands-on in-cabin flight nanny services for dogs and small animals whose safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are the highest priority.  I handle every detail myself — booking routes, airline coordination, layovers, paperwork, medication or medical considerations, anxiety management, airport handling, and constant communication with you along the way.

Most importantly, your pet never feels alone.
They stay with me — supervised, supported, and cared for from the moment we meet until they’re safely in your arms.

My mission is simple:
To make pet travel safer, calmer, and more humane — one flight at a time.

In rare cases where a pet cannot travel in-cabin and has no other option, I may be able to assist with alternative travel coordination on a case-by-case basis.
